WSTS Radiation Transport Software
Overview
A set of programs to simulate photon propagation through geometrical objects
(e.g. to simulate the radiographic process)
and to interpret radiographic data in terms of objects.
The software is written in C++ using
the mathematical class library.
The programs include:
- ATTEN3D1: attenuation of radiation spectra along straight lines through
1D, 2D and 3D objects, with scattering between different regions of
the spectrum.
- ATTEN3D: transport of radiation through 1D, 2D and 3D objects,
with deterministic scattering between different spectral regions
and spatial directions.
- MCTRANSPORT: Monte-Carlo transport of radiation
through 1D, 2D and 3D objects, with multiple scattering.
- RECONSTRUCT: iterative reconstruction of 1D, 2D and 3D objects
by optimising the geometry to match experimental data.
We can also provide attenuation and scattering data for some materials,
and can predict properties for any other material.
